Columbia River Gorge Photo Tours and Workshops is based in Hood River, Oregon along I-84. There is a Walmart and a Safeway on the outskirts of town for grocery and supplies. More supplies can be picked up on the way to town in Troutdale from the west and The Dalles from the east. I like to fill up on gas at the Safeway in Troutdale. It’s the most affordable I’ve found in the area.

Lodging
The Columbia River Gorge Tour and Workshop is based out of Hood River, Oregon. It is a fantastic town with great restaurants, a coffee-house, and hotels. I recommend staying at the Hood River Inn, run by Best Western. Rooms run around $150 a night. If it’s fully booked, or if you’re looking for a more affordable alternative, there are more options to choose from. As for me, I will be going the usual camping right, staying at Ainsworth State Park. It ranges from $13 – $17 and it’s first come first serve. Fortunately, it doesn’t get too full until Memorial Weekend. If you’re interested in sharing a site let me know!
